10-12.30pm Introduction to crochet short row technique – Tenguerengue (Room A) £35
Learn how to use crochet short row technique while working on two different bookmark
designs that will illustrate the possibilities of this amazing technique. The workshop is
taught in right-handed technique. To follow this workshop comfortably, you need to know the basics of crochet. This is not suitable for total beginners. All tools, materials and a detailed step by step printed guide are included in the price.

10-12.00 midday Ladderback Jacquard; the key to stunning stranded knitting – Zanete Knits (Room B) £55
Join us for an exclusive workshop designed to master the Ladderback Jacquard method, a game-changer for knitters who love stranded colourwork but struggle with float management. This comprehensive session will guide you through the various techniques to catch floats efficiently, with a special focus on the tips and tricks of the remarkably invisible method - Ladderback Jacquard.
Level of Experience: Intermediate
Structure and outcomes In this workshop, we'll dive into the world of stranded colourwork knitting. We'll kick things off with a quick overview of its key features and float management techniques, then take a closer look at the ladderback jacquard method. To bring the theory to life, we'll work on a small swatch together. By the end of the session, you'll have a solid understanding of the ladderback jacquard method and how to use it in your future stranded projects. With this new skill, you'll be ready to take on a wider range of colourwork motifs.
Prerequisites and Materials You should have basic knitting skills, including knitting and purling and knit increases. While experience with colourwork is ideal, it's not necessary. You will need: ● fingering to DK weight yarn in two contrasting solid colours, ● needles suitable for the chosen yarn

10-11.30am Naturally Dye Your Own Organic Cotton Tote Bag – Studio EVIG (Room C) £36
Join StudioEVIG for a hands-on experience into the vibrant world of natural dyeing. This interactive workshop introduces participants to the essentials of natural dyeing – from scouring and mordanting to creating stunning patterns using bundle dyeing technique. We'll guide you step by step as you design and dye your own organic cotton tote bag, using dried flowers from our farm. After a demonstration, it's your turn to experiment and create your unique piece. Leave with a beautiful, naturally dyed tote bag and the knowledge to continue exploring natural dyeing at home! Suitable for all skill levels.

12.30-2.30pm Woolly Wire Words – A Spring Snowflake (Room A) £26
Create a treasured piece for your home or as a gift. You'll learn how to use a knitting mill (like a knitting dolly but much faster) to create a long i-cord. You'll then combine this with craft wire and shape your word using a choice of templates. You'll be given enough materials to make one word.
Suitable for attendees aged 8 and up, however children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
The workshop lasts for 90 minutes. If you enjoy using the knitting mill, these will be available to purchase after the workshop.

12.30-2.30pm Macrame Plant Hanger – Pilar’s Designs (Room B) £30
Come and join Claire from Pilar’s Designs to knot up your very own Macrame Plant Hanger. Suitable for for beginners, you will learn four basic macrame knots. All materials and full instructions included.

12.30-2pm Solar Dyeing – Gorgeous Yarn (Room C) £50
In this workshop you will learn about natural dyes, the colours they give and how to use them in a solar dye jar to create your own skein of multi-coloured yarn.
This eco-friendly and sustainable way of dyeing yarn creates an inspiring range of possibilities, and every skein is different. The wool will be British BFL 4ply. (It is difficult to use this method to dye vegan yarn, sorry I can't offer this option.)
All materials will be provided, just bring a pen and paper, an apron or old clothes (in case of splashes) and something to carry your heavy jar safely home in.
The session will last up to 2 hours, and a wide range of natural dyes will be available to choose and use in your jar. Full information and safety advice will be given at the session. Not suitable for children under 12.

1.30-2.30pm Colour Confidence – Betty Silk Studio (Room D) £20
Do you get confused by colour? Do you wish you understood how it works so you can choose the perfect palette for your next project? This is the workshop for you! Lizzie will teach you colour theory – how it all works to create combinations that compliment, clash, or climb towards a popping highlight. You’ll create a variety of your own colour cards so you can refer to them later on.

2.30-4.30pm Tunisian Crochet For Beginners – A Spring Snowflake (Room A) £22
Learn the basics of Tunisian crochet and start a colourful patchwork style blanket. As part of the workshop you will receive a copy of the Radiating Squares blanket pattern and 4 colours of DK wool or cotton yarn to create the first 4 blocks of the blanket. You will learn the differences between Tunisian crochet, standard crochet and knitting, how to cast on and work the Tunisian Simple Stitch, and simple decreasing.
Please bring a standard crochet hook, without an ergonomic handle, 2-3 sizes larger than you would normally use when crocheting with DK weight yarn (5.5mm or 6mm is a good place to start). Basic knowledge of how to chain and tension yarn is needed.

2.30-5pm Weaving Fabric On A Body-Tensioned Loom - Rebecca Connolly Designs (Room C) £50
Over two hours to weave with British Wool yarns experimenting with colour, texture and pattern, to make a length of fabric approx. 75cm long x 20cm wide for you to take home.
The easy to use body-tensioned loom, incorporates a rigid heddle to make your weaving grow quickly - your loom will be setup ready to go.
You’ll learn the key techniques of weaving as you create your own highly individual woven fabric.

12.30-2pm Adjust for your bust – The Woolly Badger (Room D) £10
Description goes hereI’ve been teaching how to adjust knitwear to properly fit big boobs for a few years now, and when I asked on Instagram what people wanted to see this was the most requested.
This presentation is mostly theory, rather than hands-on knitting; a talk, with time for Q&A. It is a slightly shortened version of my online course covering the main points of:
· Picking a size according to upper chest
· Working out what adjustments you need to make
· How to adjust for length with horizontal darts
· How to adjust for width with stitch count adjustments
· Q&A
As well as a presentation, I will bring a variety of samples to show how the adjustments work practically.

10-12.00 midday Two Colour Brioche Basics – The Woolly Badger (Room A) £25
This is a workshop on the basics of knitting 2 colour brioche. It is a hands-
on session, where we’ll start knitting a simple 2 colour brioche cowl in the round. We cover:
· Reading charts
· How to work the basic stitches
· How to correct mistakes
· If time – basic increases and decreases
(this will depend on the skill level of the group, but I’ve got videos that I can share, if we don’t get to it).
Please bring your own yarn. Attendees will need
around 20g of two colours of 4ply yarn, and I will provide a 40cm 3.75mm needle for each attendee.

10-12 midday Ceramic Buttons – Em Cross Ceramics (This workshops is tbc, so tickets are not yet available) (Room C) £30
A chance to experience working in clay and making your own bespoke buttons or pendants for ceramics jewellery. All materials and tools provided, clay, glaze, cookie cutters, stamps, hole cutters mark making tools and materials, aprons, gloves etc
Minimum participant experience/ability : never touched clay, willing to follow directions.
Incl UK P&P, International postage is extra. -
10-12 midday Crochet and Yarn-wrapped beaded necklace – Create Well Project (Room D) £25
This workshop includes demo, teaching and support throughout. Hand outs are provided with full instruction, diagrams, patterns and step by step photos.
Learners are guided through how to create each element and then given freedom if they wish to create their own design, or follow a pre-made version.
Materials and tools provided including hooks, bead inners (wooden beads and upcycled plastic rings), yarn (although people may wish to use a newly purchased favourite!) rope and jewellery making findings.
Learners are supported to finish their item into a finished piece using plyers and jewellery making techniques

10.30 – 12 midday Eastern Combined Knitting Method – WoolAnn (Room B) £40
The class is showing how to knit in the Eastern Combined Knitting Method. Attendees will receive a pair of knitting needles and a ball of DK weight yarn and after a short demonstration from a trainer, they will try to knit a swatch in a new technique.

1-3pm Learn to spin on a Turkish Spindle – Cat and Sparrow UK (Room B) £30
This workshop is aimed at complete beginners or those who have spun a little but want to troubleshoot some common problems that beginners experience. We will cover:
Basic attributes of wool and other fibres
Staple length (very important!)
Things to look out for in a fibre
The mechanics of twist
Making a leader and attaching it to your spindle
The ‘park and draft’ technique
Basic trouble shooting (overspin, underspin, lumps and bumps, backspinning)
A quick overview of plying and finishing.
All materials will be provided, with the option to purchase your spindle at a discount at the end of the workshop.

2-4pm Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving – Tabby And Tweed (Room C) £55
Participants will be introduced to the rigid heddle loom available for them to use during the session. The loom will be warped and ready for weaving to begin. Participants will be taught how to weave a piece of fabric which they will be able to take home with them.
Level of Experience: Suitable for Beginners but quick learners or those who have woven before will have the opportunity to weave more complex designs using pick up sticks.
